In this section, I'll do my best to get the latest pictures and news on all our favorite Fletch stars. What they are doing, what they look like, and who has sadly passed away...

DAVID HARPER

David Harper will always be remembered to me as the kid who "sure did" steal the car that helped Fletch flee from the Cops. Others know him as "Jim Bob" in the classic TV series "The Waltons." Since he's had his emissions checked, he stayed true to his roots and has done a few Walton TV specials including "A Walton Wedding" in 1995, and "A Walton Easter" in 1997.

BEAU STARR

Wouldn't ya love to see Stanwyk give Willy "that LOOK?" Beau Starr has had a good career of 60 plus films and over 40 TV appearances. He had a few reoccurring roles like "Sheriff Ben Meeker" in the Halloween flicks and "Lt. Harding Welsh" in the popular Canadian Mounties show "Due South."

JOE DON BAKER

"So that's Karlin with a 'K?'" Joe Don baker has had the beach crawling with undercover cops since his first acting role in 1955. Since then he's appeared in such movies as "Mitchell," "Fletch," "Cape Fear," 3 James Bond flicks, (Living Daylights, GoldenEye, Tom. Never Dies) and tons more. Born on February 12, 1936, and 58 movies later, Joe Don Baker will celebrate his 67th birthday early next year

GEENA DAVIS

Shouldn't the standard sign off to a phone call always be "I love you body ______." Ok, maybe not, (depending on who you're talking to)... But Geena Davis, 47, has worked on some classic films after Fletch (The Fly, Beetlejuice, Earth Girls Are Easy, A League of Their Own, and more). She even got her own TV show in 2000 titled..."The Geena Davis Show." She continues to work (Stuart Little 2...2002) and has 20+ movies under her belt.

DIRECTOR
MICHAEL RITCHIE

Michael Ritchie, who directed both Fletch and Fletch Lives, recently passed away on April 16, 2001. The end came due to complications of prostate cancer. He was 62. "You take what you get," he once said. "Besides, I truly want to make movies that are not films in the art house sense of the word but films to be enjoyed." His work on Fletch will never be forgotten.

RICHARD LIBERTINI

Richard Libertini, who played Frank, is now 69 years. He most recently has appeared in Lethal Weapon 4 and did voice work on Pinky and the Brain. He looks very good for his age. If he cut his hair short, and dyed his beard, and slapped a pair of glasses on, he would look almost exactly like he did back in 1985.

CHEVY CHASE

Chevy "Fletch" Chase is looking better recently. He's looking a lot healthier and happier too. He's also been in the public eye again. After appearances on "Live with Regis," "Who Wants to be a Millionaire," and many speaking engagements, Chevy now needs a big comeback movie... Fletch Won? Maybe...but for now, at 59, he is working on a TV pilot for NBC.

CLEAVON LITTLE

Cleavon Little, who played Calculus in Fletch Lives, passed away from colon cancer at the age of 52. Before he left us in 1992, Cleavon Little gave us the comedy classics "Fletch Lives," "Blazing Saddles," and "Once Bitten" that will live on forever through the magic of cable TV.

DANA WHEELER-NICHOLSON

Dana appears to be making a comeback not only on film, but also on TV. Dana, who played Gail Stanwyk in Fletch, is looking great. She is on the TV soap "All My Children" and most recently staring in the Martin Lawrence comedy "What's the Worst that could Happen?"

M. EMMET WALSH

Good old Dr. Jellyfinger...I challenge you to flip through movie channels and not see M. Emmet walsh somewhere. At 68, Walsh has performed in almost 150 films. Leonard Maltin perfectly describes this actor, "This ruddy, pot-bellied character player-usually cast as rednecks, corrupt cops, or both-made an indelible impression on jaded moviegoers." Wanna know how? ...Bend over and he'll show you.
